Complete Guide to Beaufort Wine & Food’s 5-Day Weekend

Beaufort Wine and Food ’s signature event is set to take place April 27 – May 1, 2022 featuring an exciting five days of tastings, seminar, dinners, live and silent auctions and more. Talent from around the world descends on Beaufort as guest chefs are paired up with some of the Crystal Coast’s best restaurants for an unforgettable experience – All in the name of charity!  The festival combines the public’s appreciation for wine and food with its drive to support worthy local organizations, and has positioned itself as one of the area’s premier tourism events.

Here’s your guide to all of the events that will take place throughout the five days:

DAY ONE – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27TH

“The Royal James” by 2016 Beaufort Wine & Food Featured Artist Donna Nyzio.

OPENING EVENT – THE ROYAL LUNCHEON AT THE ROYAL JAMES CAFE

The tradition continues! The Royal James Café again hosts this fun and always popular kickoff event. A multi-course luncheon featuring a guest and local chef paired with a winemaker gets our weekend started!

The wine dinners are held in restaurants where visiting chefs will be paired up with a local chef. A featured winemaker is also present, as they guide the audience through the multi-course dinner.  A not to be missed culinary experience! Please note that wine dinners often sell out very quickly and it is suggested you order tickets soon to ensure a seat at your preferred dinner.

A crowd favorite, the event features a variety of wines paired with breads and cheeses. The audience is walked through the pairings by a featured winemaker, cheese monger and bread maker.

A featured guest chef and winemaker work with a local chef to offer guests a multi course paired luncheon, while a moderator walks through a lineup of fashions from local retailers. Fashions provided by Island Proper, Jake’s on Arendell, Tassels, Jame’s, Kitty Hawk Kites, Steep Creek Boutique, Jarrett Bay Clothing Co., and Calypso Cottage. A silent auction featuring an exciting array of retail items will be available to bid on during the event.

Beaufort Wine and Food wraps up the weekend with a Kentucky Derby-themed brunch. Guests mingle with event personalities and reflect on a week filled with community and camaraderie in celebration of epicurean arts, all in the name of charity. Live music. Multi-course brunch paired with world famous champagnes and sparkling wines. Live music by Blue Moon Jazz.

Beaufort Wine & Food is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and proceeds from its events benefit non-profits that excel in community enrichment and enhance quality of life in Carteret County.

Beaufort Wine & Food began as a weekend event in April 2004 and has evolved into an organization that holds fund raising events year-round. BWF has raised over $525,000 since its inception to donate to area non-profits. Memberships were initiated in 2013 to encourage continuing participation and to acknowledge those who regularly attend and support the fundraising events.
