Fishtowne Brew House

Fishtowne Brew House is a Carteret County craft brewery located in one of the oldest towns in North Carolina. Laid out in 1713, Turner Street in Beaufort was named for Robert Turner, the Lords Proprietors and then owner of the 780-acre land patent.

Today, Turner Street is the main entrance to the Beaufort historic district and waterfront business district.

Fishtowne Brew House is the first establishment you’ll see on the right after crossing Ann Street and entering downtown.

The building originally housed the Beaufort ABC store in the 1940’s and later the popular “Net House” restaurant for years. Most recently “Old Salt” Restaurant & Oyster Bar was operaing there until March 2017.

When renovations began, the interior walls were covered with vertical siding made from old heart pine. Builder Mike Daly removed this old wood and reused it beautifully as the ceiling for their front outdoor patio, in making the table tops for the tap room, for the back-bar top, and in various accent places throughout the brewery.

While the interior space is narrow, the open framed 11 ft. ceiling provides a great atmosphere. Described as an “old meets new” feel, you’ll feel like you are right in the mddile of a brewery. The painted concrete block wall and concrete floor with the room filled with stainless steel brewing equipment has a very unique look.

Brewmaster and owner Joey McClure has created the atmosphere of a rustic and historic feel while you enjoy your locally crafted beer. Craft beer patrons will love sittiing at tables right next to the brewing area or at the concrete bar. No matter where you sit. You’ll enjoy fresh brews right from the tap. Relax inside or grab a seat on the dog friendly covered front patio.

Step back in time with a little nostalgia as they spin vinyl from ther personal collections on select days of the week.

Their beers will consist of American styled ales such as IPA, pale ale, kolsch, porter, stout and Belgian ales such as Belgian Wit, Belgian Triple and Belgian Saisons.

Love the One Your’re Wit (ABV 5.1), Red Right Return (ABV 5.0), “Net House” Saison, American Blond Ale, and Fishtowne Brown.

Take home a “Growler” or a resealable metal “Crowler” that is better for the environment.

Fidhtowne Brew House has 12 taps that feature year-round favorites, seasonal beers and guest taps from other Carteret county breweries.
