Black Sheep

510 Front Street
Beaufort, NC 28516

A Black Sheep is usually thought of as “out of the norm” or “the oddball.” Entrepreneur-turned restaurant owner, Geoph Adams is bringing something out of the norm in food to Beaufort. He has set out to create a dining experience based on fresh, local ingredients, hand-crafted food, and gracious service. It has the potential to be different than any other restaurant in Carteret  County.

Black Sheep Restaurant is a unique dining experience, featuring fresh farm to table ingredients prepared in ways that will surprise and delight you.

Black Sheep features brick-oven pizza, salads, charcuterie and cheese plates, craft beers, wines, and craft cocktails. Enjoy a hand-spun, authentic wood-fired pizza cooked at 700˚ and served fresh to you. Whenever possible, they’ll source fresh, seasonal produce from local, North Carolina farms to prepare salads.

They specialize in Neapolitan pizzas, sandwiches, fresh local salads and handcrafted cocktails. You’ll enjoy signature cocktails inspired by Beaufort’s rustic charm.

You’ll find both indoor and seasonal outdoor seating on the Beaufort boardwalk. Set among a collection of restaurants and shops on historic Front Street, Black Sheep is an excellent option for visitors who want to dine with an accompanying on-the-water view. Visitors and locals alike who would like to dine with view of Carrot Island and it’s wild horses, or experience the bustle of Taylor’s Creek, find the perfect spot in Black Sheep. Nestled in the heart of Beaufort, Black Sheep is a great destination for casual waterfront dining.

Black Sheep is located in the same location as the former Boardwalk Café.

What’s in a Name? Black Sheep – every family has at least one. “The misfit, the eccentric, the black sheep. They forge their own path. They march to their own drum. And it goes without saying, they tend to hang out in Beaufort. Let us show how we’re taking the different and the unique and making it work just right at Black Sheep.”

For a different, out of the ordinary dining experience, you’ll discover something new at Black Sheep.
