Beaufort’s paid public parking program ensures efficient parking management in the Waterfront Business District during peak season from May 5 to October 31, 2025 (8 am – 5 pm).

  • Mixture of all-day and four-hour spaces to balance convenience and turnover.

Parking Fees

  • Premium Front Street Lots (East & West): $3/hour
  • All Other Spaces: $1.50/hour
  • Handicap Parking: Free with a valid tag at any location.

Violations

  • Overtime/improper parking: $50
  • Handicap parking violation: $100
  • Golf cart-designated spaces included.

Time Limits

  • Front Street (Queen to Moore): 4-hour limit
  • Front Street (Live Oak to Queen): All-day
  • Premium Front Street Lots (East & West): All-day ($3/hour)
  • Queen St. & Craven St. Lots: 4-hour limit (parking pass exception)
  • Turner St., Craven St. (100 block), Middle Lane: 4-hour limit
  • Pollock St. (Town Hall spaces): All-day
  • Golf Cart Spaces: 4-hour limit
